Welcome to Yogasana

“My calling is to share the knowledge passed down from my renowned teachers and their lineages”

I’m Elena, a senior yoga teacher with over a decade of practice and teaching experience. Born in London to Greek parents, I moved back to my hometown shortly after school. Yoga found me in 2009 and everything changed. My first class was an Ashtanga session at a local gym in London. That day, I discovered something profound - a gateway that offered clarity and renewal each time I stepped on the mat. What started as a physical exploration quickly became a daily ritual. The sense of transformation I felt after every session kept drawing me back, and soon yoga became a non-negotiable part of my life.

After three years of dedicated daily Mysore practice, I started exploring other styles. It was through this exploration that I found a lasting connection with the teachings of Stewart Gilchrist (yogasana) and Emi Tull (Dharma yoga) - my spiritual guides to this day.

In 2019, I did my first teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and began teaching group and private classes in London. Seeking to deepen my and teaching approach, I pursued further training in 2020 with Stewart Gilchrist, completing my advanced 500-hour Yogasana certification with him in March 2024. Altogether, I’ve completed over 700 hours of yoga teacher training and a 50-hour sound healing meditation certification with Selda Goodwill in London.

In 2024, I returned to Athens, where I currently teach group classes at Goya Studio in Kolonaki, I offer private sessions, and retreats. My calling is to share the knowledge passed down from my renowned teachers and their lineages, empowering communities.

In May 2025, I traveled to Portland in the USA where I completed my Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with Khalsa Way, an 85-hour certification rooted in Kundalini yoga and meditation. It’s a training I always wanted to do with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. It deepened my understanding of the physical, emotional, and energetic shifts of pregnancy and I now bring that into how I support students through this stage of life.

My classes are dynamic yet deeply spiritual, blending precise movement with mindful exploration, offering a space for students to reconnect with themselves and grow. I warmly invite you to join me on this transformative journey, whether you’re just stepping onto the mat or seeking to elevate your practice.
